I am a student of National Institute of Design, ahmedabad (gujarat)
and as part of our academic studies we have to study craft or culture of some particular region.

I am studying lifestyle of Tamang community. Last year at this time i was in Mirik, I had learnt about few celebrations like buddha poornima and all. but i also need to learn a lot more about this community like what kind of other festivals you have. and what do you do on which festival. why do we celebrate it? and also what is so special about each festival.
I also need to know about lifestyle. like occupations , what kind of house you live in, and what other religious do you follow other then buddhism.
I also need to know more about the traditional costumes of men and women both. and how have they changed with time.
